The Newsweek saga has done more than show the left-wing bias that the magazine holds. It has given the world another opportunity to show a different side of the radical Islam religious followers. In the days and weeks following the lies in Newsweek, many innocent people have been hurt or killed. And all because a book was said to be "flushed" down a toilet. But there exists more to the story than just that.
In a London newspaper today, Islamic protestors were shown outside the US Embassy in London shouting "Bomb, bomb, New York."(Protesters chant 'bomb New York' ) So now Islamists all across the world are made a a President not for declaring war on a Islamic state, not for removing a Islamic government in Afghanistan, not for occupying a Islamic nation, but for a fallacious story about military personnel flushing the Quaran down the toilet. And from all reports, if any pages of the Quaran were flushed, they were done so by an captive Islamist.
The nation of Islam is terribly upset about this act. I can readily admit, that if the Islamists flushed the Bible down the toilet, I would be upset, but not to the magnitude that they have let this progress. And when told that this story was a lie, they seemed to not care, but only listen to what they choose to hear. I understand their anger, but why value a book more than a human life?
Women and children have died in scores throughout Iraq, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, and others not because of famine, poverty, or foreign aggression, but by the hands of their own countrymen. So what this tells me is that a book, pages that have been copied before and will be copied still, is valued above and before human life. A book can be replaced, people cannot.
It is becoming ever more evident everyday that Islamic zealots will not be the only religious followers that we will have to deal with. The entire Middle East and Islamic nations are a power keg ready to explode. With magazines like Newsweek and newspapers like the New York Times leading the charge, it is only a matter of time before the final fuse is lit, and the real damage will be done.

Well, of course for us pissing on the Bible would be considered rude and provocative...however, you have to consider this: in Afghanistan, desecration of the Koran is actually illegal, and I think punishable by death...so that just gives you an idea of what a different world it is for them.
ReplyDeleteWhat I think is sooo annoying (and I am agnostic), is how Christianity gets no respect anymore in America(not PC), but we are then admonished by the same groups who piss on Christianity to respect and understand other religions.
Excuse the language...
